Robot Operates In A Hotel In South Africa
In a hotel in the prosperous Sandton district of Johannesburg, the capital of South Africa, all employees wear masks and use social distance from guests as much as possible, keeping in mind the danger of the Covid-19 epidemic. However, three of them, Lexi, Micah and Ariel, do not follow any rules about Corona because they are robots, not humans, and do not transmit the Virus through their breath.
The courtesy of the robot is nothing new. Robots have been operating in Japanese hotels for years. In 2015, the Henna Hotel in Tokyo, Japan, became the first hotel to be run entirely by robots. Even today, many robot-operated Japanese hotels are providing services to guests with mild symptoms of Covid-19.
However, South Africa has become the first hotel in South Africa to use the Sky Robot, which has only been in operation since this year.
