Government is ready to Implement the Labor Act: Minister Gurung
Minister for Communications and Information Technology Parbat Gurung has said that the government is ready to implement the Labor Act. Addressing the 60th anniversary function of the Rastriya Samachar Samiti( RSS) on the occasion of entering the Diamond Year on Friday, Minister Gurung said that the government was ready to implement the Labor Act.
He also said that he would stay with the government if the Federation of Nepalese Journalists (FNJ) agitated for the implementation of the Labor Act. He said that the journalists were expressing their indignation over the injustice and exploitation done by the media house.
Minister Gurung also said that the competition of breaking news has reduced the credibility of the people in the field of mass media and journalism. The RSS warned against engaging in journalism that looks negative, distrustful and suspicious. He said that it was necessary to review the structural aspects of the RSS.
